Year 1 Art and Design students enjoyed a visit to the immersive experience of film, projection art & music at the ‘Delight’ exhibition followed by a visit to the Tate Modern. A great day had by all.

Religion, Philosophy and Ethics students visited the University of Gloucestershire yesterday and took part in the 'Great Debates' day, discussing topics such as the ethics of AI, climate crisis and whether the world would be better off with or without religion.

14 Art & Design students took part in the Great Create Day at the University of Gloucestershire last week. Students attended workshops on Fine Art, Printmaking & Advertising. It was a great opportunity to learn about the creative arts & to what it's like to study at a university.

In support of National Careers Week, there will be employers & advisors in the foyer 11.30-2.00pm everyday this week including the Armed Forces, Project Trust, Mazak & Mace Group. 50 year 1 students will also be visiting the University of Gloucestershire on Thursday. #naw2024

English Literature students and their teacher Jill have marked World Book Day by dressing as characters from books they are studying, including Shakespeare's The Tempest and Webster's The Duchess of Malfi. #WorldBookDay2024

Congratulations to 19 Chemistry students who were awarded certificates in the National Chemistry Olympiad - a record number! A particular well done to Natalie Bounds and Toby Alexander who achieved Gold.

We have been celebrating a day of culture with students wearing traditional dress from the country of their heritage, sampling cuisine and participating in arts and crafts. It has been great to see so many students get involved.

Congratulations to our Boys Football team who clinched victory in their league with a 2-0 win over BMET this week. The team have won 11 of their 14 games this season scoring over 40 goals.

Thank you to the University of Worcester Institute of Education for hosting an event for a group of our students interested in relevant degrees in education either in early years, primary, secondary or FE.

Thank you to professional translator, Sarah Hudson, who visited College to lead a translation workshop for German A Level students. Sarah has worked with companies such as Aldi, Steiff Teddy bears and IKEA and has also written a book on translation.
