Some of Walsall Academy’s Year 9 students were fortunate enough to be selected to visit the Etihad Stadium on Wednesday with West Midlands Combined Authority to learn about the careers available in football.

This visit was made possible by West Midlands Combined Authority who work in partnership with the Academy to provide opportunities for our students.

A group of Walsall Academy students were extremely fortunate enough to be invited by the Air League, Husbands Bosworth for a day of flying and gliding!

Students were also treated to group activities provided by the Army where they developed skills such as teamworking and leadership.

Walsall Academy Year 10 students attended a Public Speaking Showcase at the Thomas Telford University Technical College (UTC) on Friday last week. Mylo, Alan and Luke were absolutely fantastic and excellent ambassadors for the Academy. Well done!

Walsall Academy’s Year 10 students arrived at the University of Wolverhampton yesterday for their 3-day residential. They took part in workshops based on Sports Science and listened to motivational speaker, Stephen Seki.

We are incredibly proud of each and every one of our Y13 students and their excellent examination outcomes. We wish them all the very best for the future!

Y9 German got off to a flying start with a visit from two native speakers to talk about differences between Germany and the UK and practise conversation skills.
