We had a great talk today by Stefanie Stantcheva - identifying a mindset called "zero-sum thinking" (if one person gets more, that means someone else gets less) and linking it to a set of policy beliefs as well as personal - and family - background!

Another great seminar today! Maggie Jones (Census) shared work showing that if you're a kid growing up in an American Indian community w/ a casino that pays out cash to families in the community, later in life, you get more education, earn more, & are more likely to get married!
