Singers whose voices have changed, I'd love to hear about your experiences of how this felt and sounded, (if you kept singing through the change). If I wanted to compose for your changing voice, what should I know? Thanks in advance 🤩🎶

Please describe images you post, ideally through Alt Text, or alternatively by tagging Alt Text Utilities or adding descriptions in threads. You can make them really fun, and if you use Alt-text screen-reader users get a layer others don’t access, just as the opposite is true

No disrespect, but all this talk of weekly audiences in a confidential space with a wise, non-judgemental listener has got me wondering: what if it was a requirement for Prime Ministers to have weekly therapy? Can you imagine how different the world could be?

Suella Braverman is Home Secretary in Liz Truss' government. Time to find that Himalayan cave I've been dreaming of, I think. It would slightly run counter to my intention of escaping humanity, but under these circumstances, I think I can be flexible — does anyone want to join?

Came across the phrase ‘people with blindness.’ It’s far less core to who I am than being queer/autistic, so I understand person-first language… But I’m also short, (most definitely not a person with shortness.) To those treading softly around blindies: just say it like it is 👀

I would very much like not to have the French national anthem stuck in my head right now. The horrible imagery coupled with the triumphant bombast of the music makes for an unsettling, if all too common combination. I’m trying to do nice things. Kindly let go of my brain. Merci

At last night’s hustings: Both candidates said fields should be full of livestock, not solar panels; Truss (twice) manifested a terfy trope; Sunak used the phrase ‘suffers from autism’ when answering a question that seemed to present autism as a mental health disorder. No hope

It’s a gorgeous piece. I love the way it evolves, its fragility and radiance and how it feels both endless and ephemeral. In terms of coping strategies - I’d say connecting with your initial spark, with why you first felt the work needed to exist, can be really powerful

Guess who officially finished their Masters today ✨ It’s been something of a whirlwind. Thanks to all those Royal Northern College of Music who guided me through. Time to discover what queer, autistic, Earth-loving chaos my music, words, & study of Ethical Listening can wreak & reap in the wild world

Badenoch talks of not being here to be accountable for reaching net0. Climate change is here, even if privilege keeps us relatively safer. Possible solution could be to set 2030 as the deadline… Just saying. The economy needs a world. That means the world needs to come first

I wish our leaders would open their hearts, minds and senses to what’s unfolding. It’s not naive to expect better from those elected to protect our world 8/

I'm done with trans identity & rights being framed as 'ideology' & used to divide people in toxic debates. I'm done with those debates being called 'the trans question/issue,' & with trans people being referred to just as 'trans.' Compassion & respect should not be controversial.
