Balancing the news of invasion, bombing + mass exodus of refugees in Rafah

whilst learning that MIT has threatened students to end peaceful encampments immediately or risk suspension and even homelessness

is truly sickening + will go down as a shameful day in MIT history.

Columbia University is letting in press right now, but not their own student press. We’re being refused access to our own campus for the third day in a row.

To news agencies reaching out: No, I do not want to be interviewed about my “feelings” on commencement being cancelled when we just woke up to the news that a Rafah invasion is imminent.

We are refugees in our own lands with no safe place to go, we have been escaping from death to death for 7 months now

We are tired of moving to new places every time, and every new place has its own sufferings and challenges to deal with

Large segments of the population in Rafah right now have an average of one liter of water per person per day. Now Israel is threatening them to 'evacuate' to areas that have been obliterated and where no humanitarian infrastructure exists.

Israel’s evacuation order is a declaration to attack the 600K children & their families, to attack the remaining infrastructure sustaining life & possibility of a future. Racist-colonial logic makes this a “policy debate” rather than a siren warning of genocidal massacres.
