A shocking and upsetting watch #panorama: autistic young people abused by teachers in sen school. #ofsted reports were good in 2022 and 2023, inspectors reported students felt safe and supported in school. Will methods of capturing students’ views be reviewed? Ofsted

I asked autistic people and ADHDers about the challenges they face in healthcare, and what helps or would help them. Out of over 1500 responses, these were the most common themes. 👇🏻

I tweet quite a bit - but this one is different and perhaps the most important I’ve ever written I hope it gets shared as much as possible, so new parents don't make the same mistake I nearly made (even as a dad of five, having worked in A&E for 23 years and someone who teaches

Aha. The new book from the ABA industry has arrived: "Ethical Applied Behavior Analysis Models for Individuals Impacted by Autism". Allegedly this is the new, improved ABA, 2024/2025. Is it? Thread/

Just retweeting this as we are still recruiting for this survey looking at transition experience between child and adult eating disorder services (and I know this is the time of year lots of people are experiencing these transitions)

I enjoyed this paper that explores the experiences of adults with ARFID - A tradeoff between safety and freedom: Adults' lived experiences of ARFID. It resonates with other accounts that I have read. Felt safety seems key in overcoming feeding problems. jeatdisord.biomedcentral.com/articles/10.11…
