Auto sears or “switches” have fueled an increase in multiple victim shootings across the US. Thankful to MPD & law enforcement partners, especially US Attorney & ⁦ATF HQ⁩ for their help prosecuting those who sell & use these devices to to cause harm. apnews.com/article/machin…

Looking forward to the MPD having a chance to respond to this, much of which included demonstrable numerical falsehoods. When seconds count to get life-saving aid to victims, there’s no question this technology helps us save lives. Idk how you put a dollar value on that.

This week marks four years since George Floyd was killed during a police stop in Minneapolis. It sparked protests across the U.S. and forced the Minneapolis Police Dept. to change its policies — but it is still trying to build trust while dealing with a serious staffing crisis.

I am trying hard to tell the world who ⁦Minneapolis Police Officer⁩ Jamal Mitchell was and what he meant to our department, our profession and to the people of our city. Thanks to WCCO radio for giving me the time Tuesday to do just that. youtube.com/watch?v=uhCf8Y…

Police officer Jamal Mitchell was exceptional, but he was not the exception. Why do we always lose the good ones? Because the vast majority of men and women in this profession are good. startribune.com/police-officer…
