It's been a busy few weeks since the election. Here's what I've been up to as your MP for Broxbourne 👇

I wish all students in Broxbourne receiving their A-Level, vocational or technical qualifications this morning the best of luck. I remember the feeling picking up my results at The John Warner School - it's not always easy to predict where your journey will take you.

I enjoyed a lovely afternoon today in #StansteadAbbotts, starting off with lunch at The Jolly Fisherman. I then spoke to local businesses on the high street, and it was a particular pleasure to meet volunteers at the Amwell View Charity Shop.

It was such a privilege to be asked by Hertfordshire Zoo to open their new, state of the art gibbon habitat this morning. It is a fantastic facility for these critically endangered creatures and makes a great addition to the zoo, which we're so lucky to have here in Broxbourne.

Last week I met with the Chief Executive of Broxbourne Council and other senior staff to discuss a range of local issues. I raised the concerns I'm hearing around housing and fly tipping, and I also got an update on the investment coming to the Borough.

📚 Congratulations to all students right across Broxbourne receiving GCSE and BTEC results today. It was a pleasure to meet students, teachers and governors at BroxbourneSchool this morning. Whatever your results, I wish you every success in the future.

🚧 While driving through the constituency, I've been frustrated by the long delays caused yet again by work at the Bell Lane roundabout in Broxbourne. I've contacted Hertfordshire Highways to find out why this work is taking place and will be doing all I can to speed it up.

The best form of welfare is a well-paid job, and I am determined to ensure residents benefit from new employment opportunities coming to the constituency. I was therefore pleased to meet staff at #WalthamCross Job Centre to see how they're helping local people get into work.

This week I met with senior staff at East Herts Council Council to discuss how we can work together on problems affecting my constituents in that area. I raised parking, development and enforcement issues, and will continue to hold the Council to account on your behalf.

🚗 Thanks to bp pulse for a tour of their new ultra fast charging points, which are available for public use in the M&S car park at Brookfield. I'm pleased to see this new infrastructure providing extra capacity for electric vehicle charging in Broxbourne.

🐯 I've had a few unique experiences since becoming Broxbourne's MP, but having a go at feeding Siberia the Tiger may top the lot. Thanks to Hertfordshire Zoo for the incredible opportunity, and for all the work you're doing to help conserve these creatures.

This week I've attended two important debates on issues that matter to my constituents, on special education needs and healthcare provision. I'll be continuing to speak up on these issues as your MP for Broxbourne.

✍️ Along with other Conservatives MPs, I signed the motion calling for Labour's winter fuel payment cut to be annulled - I'm pleased that this will now be debated in the UK House of Commons next week.
