totally agree - Detroit & Dusseldorf important, BUT Yellow Magic Orchestra—the trio of Haruomi Hosono, Yukihiro Takahashi, and Ryuichi Sakamoto—has arguably the strongest claim of all to the “Godfathers of Techno” title.
