🚀 🤖 Today, we unveiled Fast-Cat: A Self-Driving Lab for Accelerated Catalyst Development in Nature Chemical Engineering! Fast-Cat is turbocharging catalyst development with its autonomous, high-pressure/high-temperature reaction capabilities! Eastman Chemical Co. NC State University NC State News NC State Engineering
Check out this excellent research briefing of Fast-Cat prepared in collaboration with the Nature Chem. Eng. editorial team: nature.com/articles/s4428… NC State News Nature Chemical Engineering NC State Engineering
“That’s why we created Fast-Cat. We’re now able to better understand how a specific ligand performs in five days than was previously possible in six months.” — Milad Abolhasani Learn more about AI-driven labs at go.ncsu.edu/d7kkz10

1st meeting of #Scialog: Automating Chemical Laboratories, cosponsored by RCSA, Beckman Foundation, the Frederick Gardner Cottrell Foundation, and Walder Foundation, ends today with proposals to accelerate innovation in basic research through advances in automated instrumentation & AI.
Had a great time attending the ACL Scialog Research Corporation for Science Advancement meeting last week! Interesting discussions about the future of lab automation in chemical sciences. We need more low cost and ‘reproducible’ automation technologies for ‘real’ chemistry.
It was great to participate as a panelist at the The White House Roundtable on the Semiconductor Materials Accelerator, particularly discussing autonomous labs and accelerated materials discovery under the #CHIPS and Science Act.
Congratulations to Prof. Milad Abolhasani!! Abolhasani Lab Associate Professor and University Faculty Scholar in the Department of Chemical and Biomolecular Eng. NC State University is the 2024 CRE division Early Career Investigator awardee, in honor of Dr. Maria Flytzani-Stephanopoulos
#Accelerate Conference early bird registration ends June 26th! Join us at University of British Columbia Aug 6-9 to learn from leaders in advanced material discovery including Adam Gormley of Rutgers University, Milad Abolhasani of NC State University, Melodie Christensen of #Merck and more.
