#ABSW75 : now that online communication is available to all - seems to have raised barriers to entry: now expectation that applicants will have portfolio of blog/podcast etc, and often expectation of masters degree.

Also raised: Diversity of the profession and the event:

#ABSW75 : now trying to create market differentiation online. Greater awareness of audience interest in your story (or not). Online comments: see below &!role of Twitter discussed. Echoes of Bodmer encouraging communication - and now they are online and communicate directly.

#ABSW75 : Work changes: deluge of email press releases (one speaker prefers, easier to bin than paper), more capacity online, online had started off lower profile/ status than print, and after a period of flux, now settled on news by whatever platform; core skills still needed
