Across the UK we’ve seen instances of councillors who rent being expected to excuse themselves from debates on rental issues, yet landlord MPs can vote on these issues while mistreating their tenants.

Council tax is a regressive tax. We should be abolishing it, not scrapping discounts.

New council houses are eligible to be sold through Right to Buy at a discount just 3 years after they are built. The problem with RTB is not solely that councils lose social housing stock, but it acts as a huge disincentive for councils to build more.
