The day of the gastroscopy, here starts the journey for an early morning procedure.

A big thank you to the Endoscopy Department at Loughborough Hospital today, the gastroscopy whilst not pleasant was not painful and I was kept informed throughout the procedure with a report within 15 minutes. At least there are answers and it is not a neurological issue.

A long drive up to Newcastle, the A1(M) was shut. It was lovely to see for the first time with my own eyes, the Angel of the North, what a sight! Then, I've just experienced a northern Greggs with a cheerful 'what are you havin then?' and a curious baked item a Stottie

Ffs, why am I always battling with my health 😢 Up most the night vomiting, unable to keep water down, kidneys hurt, unable to pass urine, have a temperature. GP has told me I need to go to A&E as she is worried I have septic shock and severe dehydration. 😳

Well, I've had two sets of bloods taken, CT scan, intravenous medication, and now on a drip. Hopefully, some results soon. Thank you Leicester's Hospitals for your care so far

More tests done, now awaiting another drip and once that's done I am being admitted to the adults' accute ward at Leicester Royal Infirmary.

Just got onto the GPAU ward, sepsis has been ruled out. Now await another drip and obs.

Up nice and early this morning 🙄 Vomiting since just before 5am, managed to fill three bowls 🤢😅 Had another IV paracetamol drip. Think it is safe to say I will be off work again today. Stay safe everyone.

Well, another night in Leicester Royal Infirmary, now on my eighth drip that will take eigth hours to infuse. I am awaiting more tests and results, and hopefully, more info and positive news tomorrow

Update: Still in Leicester Royal Infirmary, the vomiting after a brief subsidence has returned. More bloods taken, iv medication, waiting for a few more checks, then possibly scans later. Thank you Leicester's Hospitals and the #NHS for your care.

Well, the doctor just visited, and I am feeling a little bit better. On drip number 12 now, and the doctor is sending me for another CT scan. It is going to be another long night. Thank you to everyone who has wished me well. Your support is very kind and much appreciated.

Today, I was transferred to the Leicester General Hospital. Still being 🤢🤮 Medications have been slightly tweaked, on yet another drip, laxatives. I am having more scans and tests in a couple of days. I've been told I will be here until Tuesday, possibly longer.
