Today is the 75th anniversary of the UK National Health Service. After 14 years of attack from the last UK government, I hope the new one reverses the challenging trends. It will not be easy, but now at least we have a chance to keep it and its principles. #NHS

My nhs laptop -necessary to log into the terminals/do anything whatsoever for the nhs - is updating its firmware. Without checking if this is a convenient time. It’s taken 40mins so far and we are at 50% progress. If I’d needed to see clinic patients right away, I could not have.

Reminders sent just a few days after a task was allocated, way before the deadline and include thanks to the people who already did the task ridiculously early ARE NEITHER HELPFUL NOR MOTIVATING. A deadline is a deadline. Can we just leave it at that?
