it's entirely possible this is the first time anyone has called either of my books a tear-jerker (or even just tear-jerky). I like it--does my cynical, ironic heart good.

This is one of the most fun, warm-hearted novels I've read in a long time. It may sound like a beach read-- & for good reason, because it is! it's very fun--but it's also very smart & kind of just insanely lovable.

fyi, this book came out yesterday and it's just terrific—smart, fun, engaging, and highly illuminating in terms of the music world. Especially recommend for Joni Mitchell/Joan Baez/Sarah MacLachlan fans.
