Great to see one of our council members and co chair of APPG for Africa speaking passionately about the famine in Sudan
The attention paid to the conflict in Sudan does not match the enormity of the suffering there. As Chair @APPGAfrica, thank you, Lyn Brown 🌹, for securing this question. I asked the Minister what the UK was doing to monitor the arms embargo and stem the flow of arms into Sudan.

In the APPG for Africa IGM Paul Boateng Learned 19 years ago, during his time as envoy the close link between the extractive industries and conflict and the he close link between lack of opportunities for young people and conflict.
The Minister for Africa Collins of Highbury We shouldn’t underestimate how change can be affected. It’ll come about through social economic empowerment and an active civil society.
Q. How we counter the role of china in Africa Collins of Highbury Debt restructuring is linked to our strategy on china. What we can do is be more effective in the collaboration with others for example building a deep sea port in the DRC APPG for Africa
