This time of year many of us make a journey back to where we call home. To those of us staying in the Diaspora. How do you spend the holidays when you aren't home?

One of the biggest issues with regards to students coming from abroad to Europe is job opportunities once they leave university. Work permit laws are hugely restrictive towards internationals. This becomes even harder once out of university. Where are the protections for youth?

What conversations do we need to have about better laws for international students in Europe. Who are the people that we can begin to dialogue with? How do we engage in a meaningful manner that provides the best outcome for students in the Diaspora especially internationals?

We have so many students who move abroad for education but where is their safety net? It takes a village. We must come together.
