Today, DWR announced an increase in the SWP allocation forecast for 2024. The forecasted #allocation is now 15% of requested supplies, up from the 10% initial allocation announced in Dec. This translates to about 200k acre-feet of additional water for the 29 public water agencies

The tunnel only diverts water when all other uses are satisfied and when there is excess water in the system. It is a critical climate adaptation strategy for the 27M Californians who need this water. It isn’t the only project we need, but our overall water security depends on it
