As more and more reports emerge of AI’s detrimental impact on our environment, it becomes increasingly unethical for colleges and universities to promote it for research and teaching.

Honestly, I have absolutely no idea how you can genuinely look at this graph and not understand that ongoing waves of constant repeat covid infection are a principal cause of the actual devastating increase in long term disability. How can people be in such staggering denial?

It's crazy we don't take migraines more seriously, like a few days a month I'm literally blind and in searing pain and people will be like "ugh yeah, I get headaches sometimes too!" and just expect you to keep existing

More than half of people who took a survey have said they've been harassed or threatened in public for wearing a medical mask. They're harassed at work, at home, and even in hospitals. What It's Like to Wear a Mask: A Survey on Discrimination sentinelintelligent.com/what-its-like-…

tern My friend (who thinks I'm am doing irreparable harm to my son because I make him mask) is taking her 14 yr old to the cardiologist today. The poor kid has had Covid numerous times and now suffers episodes of low blood pressure, dizziness & rapid heart rate.

‘Of course, anyone who does make the “risk assessment” that catching COVID is unsafe for them is functionally shut out of society. It’s hardly a choice freely made, as the social and economic punishments for failing to “return to normal” continue to intensify.’

For those of you inclined to offer public health agencies the benefit of the doubt, here’s the tape (just one of several bits of evidence we now have) disclosing that they all did, in fact, know that the Coronavirus was airborne in early 2020.

New poll finds half of Americans believe they'll never get COVID again. The data shows that COVID surges at high levels throughout the year. Denial is one hell of a drug.

If you’re a HCW refusing to mask for a patient…take a moment to ask yourself if wearing a mask for the brief period you interact with them will cause YOU harm? Compare that with the potential harm to the patient if you infect them or psychologize them. Then put on the mask.

We continue to debilitate a generation. Imagine another 4 years of cumulative immune system damage with every infection. 10 years?

One of my biggest concerns right now about AI in the classroom is how AI views writing. Writing = a mundane chore that AI can eliminate; generic writing is fine. If we’re not careful, the tool controls our narratives about the value of writing, both the process and the product.

The "let AI transform your classroom" marketing is making me very nervous, too. No, like most every academic product to come before it, yours is not going to transform anything. Don't let a tool drive pedagogy.

You are reading this Tweet during the pandemic. Transmission is higher this time of year than during any prior September. Many people have not had a vaccine in the past year and are not using other mitigation. Repeat-infection #LongCOVID should concern all.

Yes, we do need to bring back masks in medical settings “The duty of care doesn’t land on patients. It’s the clinicians’ job to ensure patients don’t pick up an unintended infection. Patients have a right to safety in health care facilities.” thestar.com/opinion/contri…
