A subtype of retinal ganglion cells (Fam19a4/Nts-RGCs)  controls angiogenesis in the retina via Piezo2. A subset of Piezo2+ granule cells also influences angiogenesis in the cerebellum . Beautiful work from Xin Duan UC San Francisco and  Xin Ye Genentech cell.com/cell/abstract/…
