Wow...a massive swarm of bees has just flown overhead while I'm working in the garden. Never seen that before, but from the sound I knew in an instant it was a swarm!

After segregating my chickens for 4 weeks due to bullying and feather pecking...within 2 minutes of letting them mix today, they were back pulling and eating feathers again 😠😠😠

Decided to let the chickens out in the sunshine to start digging in the green manure in the veg beds. Roll on spring 👨‍🌾

Today was a lawn day! 2 cu metres of thatch removed, 3 cuts. And now it's getting a good rain on. A couple of bald patches to re seed tomorrow.

Last of the parsnips lifted. A simple roast for dinner...and tried my hand at making my very first ever parsnip cake.

Any tips to stop the mice eating all my freshly sown seeds overnight?

It's strawberry time...

I am just inundated with #slugs and #snails this year - never known anything like it. Lost all my corriander, lemon basil and lettuce overnight. Clearly they have good taste...but enough now please!
