The SMIL team traveled to Ethiopia for a week of collaboration, reflection, and identifying growth opportunities. We started with the team from EIAR reviewing project progress, then the SMIL Annual Meeting, and then a review of the Sorghum Value Chain Assessment for Ethiopia.

Over 100 individuals gathered in Niamey, Niger, at the SMIL West Africa Annual Meeting. It was co-hosted by K-State-based SMIL & Institut National de la Recherche Agronomique. Sorghum & millet research & best practices were shared by participants from 9 countries, including Senegal, Madagascar, Haiti & Ethiopia.
