7 billion Alaska snow crabs have disappeared in just 3 years. The population has shrunk by almost 90% -- in just 3 years. There will be no harvest this year.

What caused this massive collapse? Climate change. cnn.com/2022/10/16/us/…

I hope those complaining about Noah today actually watch him either on his other nfl assignments or even his college assignments. He’s already a star and if you listen once youlll see that. I am happy to call Noah Eagle a friend and hopefully one day we are peers in the NFL/NBA

Out there that should be considered doesn’t help close the gap.

I’m proud of my journey and my climb to be a national announcer. Do I want to keep climbing? Yes. But I’m not gonna get there by being outraged about good announcers getting good opportunities. Energy wasted

Opportunities as a POC and woman respectively. But also need to boost the signal of people like Chris Lewis Eric Collins, myself. Jorge Sedano etc who are continuing to try and climb the latter, complaining about who got the job and not encouraging and boosting the people

Does everything they can to help me get better every time out.

Here’s what needs to happen. We need people to celebrate the diverse voices we have at every level of sports. Specifically talking PXP. We need to talk about the Adam Amin Beth Mowins who have been able to grab NFL

These jobs are INCREDIBLY hard to come by and they don’t come open often. My window is still open, but it’s not as wide as it was. I’m also very happy. I’m at a tv station in my home market that respects me unlike my previous spots. And I work for a network on CBS that

Do I want to call the NFL or the NBA. Absolutely. I’ve been at this for a long time and feel frustrated that I haven’t locked in a long term deal with a network or with an NBA team. I’ve been the runner up for 3 nba jobs now and have been in consideration for others.

Them reels for that entire time. Absolutely. Is that his fault? No. He’s taken advantage of the advantages he’s received. Not everyone does. He’s gotten very good very quickly and he’s going to keep getting opportunities because he’s damn good.

quality of their work. In Noah Eagle’s case he has been an NBA voice for 3 years now on radio. Has been doing college Fb for just as long, did those breaks come because he’s literally known all the TV executives and producers since he was in middle school and was able to email

I’m incredibly aware of the issues we have in literally every industry in creating opportunities for more groups. It’s not exclusive to pro sports or television. But sportscasting is a meritocracy. The people in the highest of roles get there and stay there because of the

I’m not saying nepotism is a good thing or something we should be “ok” with, but not everything is black and white when it comes to this.

I am also able to say I was able to get a lot of reps because minor pro sports grew in my home market at the start of my career and i was able to call hockey, football and hoops on radio and TV because of it. Reps I may not have got had I moved somewhere else. Who knows.

And it would have been cost prohibitive for me to have moved to a city with one. That’s why I went to college in Boston instead of Ann Arbor. Because of proximity to the pro sports I wanted to work in.

I have not had that privilege. I told an NBA executive this summer that I grew up 3.5 hours away from the closest NBA team and 6 hrs from the closest MLB and NFL teams. I grew up in a market with no pro sports and as such no place for me to intern during college as many are unpai
