We made ornaments for each other in class this week. They each put so much effort and time into them. I loved seeing their faces as they gave them to each other. Building deep connections is always important. #givingfeelssogood SummitElementaryFHSD

These kids are ready to change the world. They read Flawed Dogs during our book club unit and realized animals were used in labs for testing. Save Innocent Animals (SIA) club was born. They meet during lunch, research and write notes to companies. #BeesTweet #WEareFHSD

Check out our human protractor we made to introduce measuring angles. We discussed how it works and discovered how the 2 numbers on top of each other equal 180 degrees and why. I love math! #BeesTweet #WEareFHSD

We celebrated iserve/kindness week in school.We cleaned our room for the custodian, organized the lost and found and worked on spreading happiness with random acts of kindness. Make someone happy- sign the happy sign.Thanks @shannonrooney22 and 9United for the great ideas

Mindful Monday! Teaching the kids to visualize and find their happy place. Kids drew beaches , forest, lake houses, libraries and even our classroom. SummitElementaryFHSD

Who says test review can’t be fun? The kids showed up ready to be trained for a math mission. They had to find the math mistakes and make them right to solve a message and save the school . SummitElementaryFHSD

Pure joy and genuine smiles! 4th graders made picture books for their kindergartener book buddies. They loved the idea of being able to keep a handmade book with their name in it. Book buddies are good for the soul. SummitElementaryFHSD @Ms_Spoerl

I am sure going to miss my class. We spent the day celebrating birthdays that are over break, playing board games, making a list of creative ideas to do at home and bonding. A few hugs and tears at the end of the day.
