Congrats IPPR on this paper highlighting how the UK's tax system is driving regional inequality. This report suggests bold reforms, including a Proportional Property Tax and premiums on empty and second homes - steps towards a fairer tax system which we are advocating for.

This is an excellent report. 👏👏Council Tax is a de facto wealth tax on low and middle-income households. And given Council Tax is a property tax, the obligation to pay should be passed from the tenant to the property owner. Fairer Share is campaigning for this important reform.
