Whenever children come to visit this happens. I'm absolutely convinced the reason we have a lack of organists is simply not being exposed to the instrument, &/or given the chance to explore. This young lady & her brother were fascinated & loved it!

Eclipse watching in Princeton University!! So far on this trip we’ve had an earthquake and a solar eclipse. What’s next…?!!!
This has to be my favourite crescendo in the organ literature, and my goodness, it works beautifully on the organ here Princeton University. Performing here tomorrow at 8pm - free admission - this is honestly one of my favourite organs I’ve ever played ❤️
P.s. this is the end of the fugue…
A little clip from my new transcription of The Bells of Notre Dame, played on the largest organ in the world Jim Whelan Boardwalk Hall 😍 I will never forget the two days I have just spent with this incredible instrument and the glorious humans who look after her ❤️
My organist husband Evan Dr. Evan L. Breedlove always shares the latest Anna Lapwood videos with me, so when he saw she was in town we HAD to go to her concert. It was the coolest thing. I had no idea the organ could be so fun and powerful. Videos don’t do it justice.
Last night: an unforgettable concert Jim Whelan Boardwalk Hall. This morning: a workshop on the Kimball organ in the Boardwalk ballroom for local children. This afternoon: first rehearsal Princeton University! Still pinching myself that this counts as work.
Tonight I got to see Anna Lapwood play the world's largest pipe organ at Boardwalk Hall. It was an amazing experience, and now I want to look into volunteering on the restoration project.
Anna Lapwood has rightly become 'the world's most visible organist' - The New York Times. Tue, Apr 2 Lapwood's organ recital ranges from the softest flutes in Debussy’s 'Clair de Lune' to the most earth-shattering fortissimo in Philip Glass’s 'Mad Rush.' 🎟🎟 >> z.umn.edu/AnnaLapwood
