On Saturday evening I got a message from my friend Roz that Chris had died. Awful, sad, a massive loss, but to be honest it wasn’t unexpected. He had been ill for a very long time – and after many health setbacks I think he really wanted to go. 🧵1/15

Oh no! Such sad news. The Shardlake books are masterpieces, I was just looking the other day to see when the next one might be published.

#Usdaw24 opened today and already covering the issues affecting Usdaw members’ daily working lives. Delegates supported call for all retail workers to finish no later than 5pm on Christmas Eve. Not much to ask, but currently so many are forced to work until 10pm or later.

This afternoon I joined Folajimi’s family to remember Jimi and his selfless bravery which sadly cost him his life 3yrs ago.

I spoke about the fact that far too often young people are demonised as trouble makers, but Jimi was a hero.
His family want to establish Folajimi Day.
