It has been a great week in Malawi deliberating indepth on the APT-Sepsis trial how Infectious Diseases Institute, Makerere University and Malawi Liverpool Wellcome Programme will deliver this study aimed at reducing morbidity and mortality caused by maternal sepsis
The Active Prevention and Treatment of Sepsis trial has involved lots of training and lots of ongoing mentorship to bring behavioural change and continue to build capacity. Maternal sepsis kills too many mothers - 17 a day die in Uganda from this. Maternal sepsis week (12-18 May) raises awareness of this devastating condition. The APT-Sepsis trial, involving 30 sites in Uganda and 30 in Malawi aims to bring positive change. #AtTheEquatorUG
