Yesterday (July 26 2024) was the 90th birth anniversary of Professor Bhagwati. And he sent me a wonderful endorsement for my forthcoming book “The Nehru Development Model: History and Its Lasting Impact” the same day!!

This is the central question addressed in this book. In a nutshell, we have failed to use our abundant factor, labor, effectively. High labor productivity requires capital and we have placed capital where there is hardly any labor (steel, machinery etc)
