The #Ebonyjewelwing damselfly. The difference between a #dragonfly and a #damselfly? Dragonflies rest with wings open and straight out, and their eyes take up most of the face. Damselflies rest with wings closed and back and have much smaller eyes.

#Asclepiassyriaca or #commonmilkweed. The genus name #Asclepias stems from the Greek god Asklepios, god of medicine, due to its medicinal uses.
