If Labour fail to act on abolishing the poverty inducing child benefit cap this week then the SNP will seek to force a vote in the Commons. It’s the bare minimum we should expect from a Labour Government, and we’ll hold them to account until they act. independent.co.uk/news/uk/snp-sc…
In Scotland today, stigma hurts more people than HIV. Thank you Kevin Stewart SNP for recognising #ZeroHIVStigmaDay in the Scottish Parliament.
🌅Lovely morning with Audrey Nicoll MSP watching the Costa Favolosa berth at the Port of Aberdeen 🛳The Costa Favolosa is the largest ever ship to berth at the Port of Aberdeen 📈60 cruise ships have berthed this year, a 150% increase from 2022, brilliant news for the local economy!
⛴ It was a pleasure to watch the Costa Favolosa cruise ship come into the Port of Aberdeen South Harbour this morning with Jackie Dunbar MSP. ☀ The Costa Favolosa is the largest cruise ship to ever visit Aberdeen, bringing a welcome boost to our local economy.
🛢Huge disappointment across Aberdeen as The Labour Party close energy sector investment allowances. 📉This means, less investment, less jobs and a greater reliance on foreign imports. 🥀Labour promised no austerity and no cliff edge for oil and gas workers, instead we got both.
Vulnerable adult and child witnesses of crime are getting extra support to give evidence as part of a new justice hub in Dundee. Backed by £2.4 million of Scottish Government funding, the hub allows witnesses to give evidence in special suites away from court. ➡️ bit.ly/46zdtFQ
A brilliant opportunity for our MSYPs, Jack and Dylan, to chat directly with a key decision-maker and bounce ideas for how to create tangible change through their SYP social advocacy work. Thankyou Audrey Nicoll MSP for taking the entire hour to talk to our young people!
