Fascinating and brilliant talk by Amsterdam UMC Henne Holstege on #centenarian #brains & #proteome suggesting high abundance of “young” proteins may help prevent #aggregation and lower #TDP43 related pathology & lower sensitivity to age-related changes in DNA & epigenetics

ARIA bench to bedside and back, such an incredibly relevant session! Maybe ARIA helps with abeta removal? But to what content do we accept it? Would steroid treatment diminish clearance effect and clinical efficacy.. Drs Iadecola, Sperling, Donna Wilcock , Piazza, Greenberg 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻

Just when you think #AAIC24 can’t get any better you meet someone with the same (according to my mom unique 🧐) name!! Guess what! Bayla Breningstall works on neuropath AD, distinguishing different types of abeta deposit 😍! Thank you Michael S Bienkowski !

I learned a lot about atypical AD, mainly during the session chaired by Baayla DC Boon, with great presentations on atrophy patterns and language symptoms in PPA by Ismael Calandri, and the clinical assessment of visual and proprioceptive features in PCA by Keir Yong!

"Scientists need more time to think" in nature Absolutely agree! However, for that to happen, the current system has to change!!! The culture of "publish or perish" & all the billion tasks one has to juggle on a daily basis won't do... #AcademicTwitter
