Crews are building the train platform at the future South Granville Station. This is where passengers will wait for their next SkyTrain. The tracks will be built along each side, with the platform in the middle.

Crews pour concrete to construct the second section of roof at Great Northern Way-Emily Carr Station. This section of roof is for the underground portion of the station. This is part of Step 3 of station construction. Learn more: ow.ly/KjNg50T73OM

Before a base slab foundation is poured, waterproofing & rebar are installed. The waterproof layer keeps the station dry while the layers of concrete & rebar make the foundation strong. This is part of the 1st step of station construction. Learn more: ow.ly/6KN650T4kbF

Looking east towards the elevated guideway, you can see the tunnel entrance near the future Great Northern Way-Emily Carr Station. With construction of the elevated guideway now complete, work in this area has shifted to track installation.

Each TBM broke through the east wall of each station on their journey to Cypress St. Here, TBM Elsie underwent scheduled maintenance & was moved across the station’s completed base slab foundation before departing again. All TBM breakthroughs are now complete!

Once tunnelling is complete, new columns, walls and floors are built. A roof is constructed on top of the underground station. Here, a worker inspects the rebar on a wall. This is part of step 3 of the station construction process: ow.ly/klVG50T4nWr

At GNW-Emily Carr Station, crews are building the underground station’s roof. The second roof section, unfinished in this photo, was completed in late July. Once the #BroadwaySubwayProject is complete, everyone will be able to walk, bike, roll or drive above these roof sections.

Did you know that each new Broadway Subway station will feature up and down escalators? The first escalator trusses, which house the electrical and mechanical equipment, were installed at South Granville Station in July. An elevator will later be constructed to the left.

How many crew members can you spot in this photo? Crews install metal beams to prepare for construction of the concourse-level floor. This scaffolding system will allow crew members to install rebar for the next level floor and supports the weight of the concrete pour.

This tunnel, underneath the Canada Line tracks, will connect passengers who are transferring from the future Millennium Line platform to the Canada Line platform at Broadway City-Hall. Here, crews had completed the first out of four concrete rings for the tunnel structure.

Take a sneak peek at Arbutus Station’s platform level. 👀 This level is where passengers will board the SkyTrain. The platform will be constructed in the middle, where the columns are, with the tracks on either side.
