Hello, this is not what he's doing. He's adding "it may be false" to insulate himself and making sure he has a fallback position while amplifying the nutty charge. This is a standard tactic to spread a lie: Shout it while also adding "but hey, could be untrue."

Still baffles me that we’re the United States and Donald Trump is one of two people we put on a presidential debate stage to ask questions as if he’s a serious person and not a self-obsessed nut job who would sellout the Constitution and the peaceful transfer of power for kicks.

We’re not even halfway through and I’m gonna say that I did not like Harris in her 2019 debate and I didn’t think she was very good in 2020. But she is blowing him out of the water here and he is taking every bit of bait she’s sending him. Gotta call it like I see it.
