Part of the reason for the attractiveness of greater locational signals is that it would, in my view, lead to cheaper energy. Right now our energy is too expensive vs other markets. And that is a big problem.

Sorry one more thing. Look what the need for double-yellow lines does to a pretty street. Traffic almost zero here, but psychologically, you're stepping from the safety of the pavement into a road with no footway. Compare with the German example (4th pic). So much more inviting!
