Nell McCafferty was an incredible force for women. Her book, A Woman to Blame, chronicled an astonishing event in Irish life, stripping away the easy assumptions we have about ourselves and leaving the unvarnished truth of what it was to be a woman in 1980s Ireland. Rest well.
