I just taught my class about "deep uncertainty" in energy systems planning. My example: when I started grad school in 2012 the "stretch goal," supported by DOE's SunShot (launched in 2011), was to get solar module costs to $1/Watt by 2020. It's 2024 and modules cost 10¢/Watt! 🤯
