Today for #MeetourECOPs we are happy to highlight Taha Lahami and his work at CNR Consiglio Nazionale delle Ricerche. He focuses on the monitoring and assessment of benthic communities in artificial hard substrates, using repeated acoustic remote sensing surveys, video and audio recording analysed with AI.

For our last post of #MeetourECOPs in June, we are pleased to introduce Tobias Ziolkowski from GEOMAR_en. The purpose of Tobias' PhD is to apply data mining and machine learning methods to ocean seafloor data to gain new valuable insights into the dynamics of the seafloor.

A warm welcome to the July edition of #MeetourECOPs ! For our first post, Naomi Krauzig from our member organisation CoNISMa is taking you to the Antarctic. There, she investigates the changing oceanographic conditions in the Ross Sea and assesses their role in key processes.

For today's post of #MeetourECOPs we are happy to introduce our fellow EMB Young Ambassador Riwan Leroux from Ifremer 🌊. Riwan's project aims to develop a better management framework for the Lucky Strike marine protected area (MPA), in collaboration with the authorities.

Today on #MeetourECOPs we want to highlight Charu G from Natural Environment Research Council and her work on how human behaviour affects the Ocean. Charu’s work focuses on how simple habits of ours affect the Ocean and what relationship we have with the Ocean.

We are happy to introduce EMB Young Ambassador Virginia Morejón from Marine Institute on today's #MeetourECOPs post. Virginia is currently a PhD candidate and study the impact of cumulative pressures in Ireland’s marine environment.

On our last day of the July edition of #MeetourECOPs we are happy to introduce Mickael Racine from Universités Marines. Based on the Yaf Keru reef restoration program led in the Raja Ampat archipelago, Mickael's PhD aims to study the impacts of coral restoration on marine biodiversity.
