19th C. magic lantern slide of the pumping engine 'Victoria', close to East London Waterworks Park πππππ #EastLondonWaterworksPark installed c.1852, one of the largest steam engines in existence & the largest for supplying water ever constructed at that time. #History #Engineering #Photography
East London Waterworks Park πππππ This sounds positive for your proposal! The secure facility could (and should) be built elsewhere. Your regeneration plan is site specific, canβt be built elsewhere and (importantly!) so much more harmonious and consistent with adjacent land use. I hope your project succeeds ππΌ

Victoria Engine House, campanile & boiler house built c.1852 close to East London Waterworks Park πππππ #EastLondonWaterworksPark, photographed in 1938. The footings & stones from the engine well remain in place but have been reformed into the 'Nature's Seat' '#Hackney Henge' artwork. #History
East London Waterworks Park πππππ NLA Voted for you as I think your idea is definitely achievable and will deliver immediate and long term benefit to the local area. The whole list is really thought provoking though, and some of the more fanciful ideas evoke a futuristic utopian sci-fi vision for London that I love!
1936 aerial photo of #Lea Bridge Waterworks the site of East London Waterworks Park πππππ #EastLondonWaterworksPark, from the south-east looking north-west. Can you spot the seven engine houses around the site? They're not easy to see but if you look for their chimneys you might find them. #History
