The way companies have banded together to make enjoyable things like going to a concert unaffordable for regular people needs to be studied.

Ms. Gisèle Pélicot is a hero. She asked that her trial be made public so every single piece of shit that raped her will have their name & face shown. - Man drugged wife's dinner then invited more than 50 men over to rape her whilst she lay unconscious. mirror.co.uk/news/world-new…

This part of Sinn Féin’s policy is pretty cool. Tenants associations were big in Republican philosophy from the 1970s onwards. This would allow tenants on estates to set up a community committee that would allow an empowered people.

“I was at the meetings, and this is not an issue.” Sinn Féin’s Finance Spokesperson Pearse Doherty says the country’s banks are on board with his party’s new housing plan, but Neasa Hourigan TD isn’t convinced the main lenders will offer their support. #TonightVMTV

It speaks volumes that the Dublin establishment are more annoyed by Sinn Féin having a credible housing plan than FF & FG’s failure to address the housing crisis during the most opulent period in the history of the modern Irish state #rtept

I'm still here, but my life is filled with childrearing at the moment! I combi feed & needed a new bottle for the baby. £18 for a pack of two. Tin of formula £15. And yet the government thinks £8.50 p/w is enough for disadvantaged mothers between 0-1 in this era of greedflation.

In TEN years not ONE man did her husband come across that decided to report or alert authorities. 10 years, almost 100 men, even the ones that declined kept silent. Do you understand what that means?

Elise Bell™️ (@eliseybell) 's Twitter Profile Photo

Cannot stop thinking of this case. The horror of it has been rattling around my brain, not just what her husband did to her, but how so many men were complicit in the abuse. How are we not in the streets in uproar, why aren’t more men talking about this bbc.co.uk/news/articles/…

Emma Rainey 🍉 (@emmal_r90) 's Twitter Profile Photo

What I keep thinking about in this case is the "not all men" trope. We don't know which men are capable of such violence, so much so, we could end up marrying one of them. Male violence against women is not instances of randomised behaviour, it is systemic & reproduced behaviour.
