We welcome the #RuleOfLaw Report 2024. In 2016, we were the first to propose setting up this control mechanism. The report could be improved by: ⚖️ providing actionable recommendations; ⚖️ adding a chapter on civic space; ⚖️ increasing #EUCivilSociety’s participation.

🔍🤖 One month ago, the EU’s #AIAct officially took effect. Our opinion helped shape crucial recommendations, like banning social scoring. We will adopt new recommendations on General-purpose AI this October at our #EESCPlenary at the European Commission’s request. Stay tuned. ↓
