The young patients of the nearby Zuweid Hospital, run by UNICEF with the EU support, shared the tragedy they have gone through.  I heard the frustration of Red Crescent volunteers managing   warehouses full of humanitarian aid blocked by Israeli authorities. 2/3

Medical equipment, tents, sleeping bags are prevented to reach Gaza because of alleged dual use. This dramatic situation has to be solved by political means.   A ceasefire is needed to save lives, get to the release of all the hostages, let the humanitarian aid into Gaza. 3/3

Visited UNHCR’s registration center in Cairo today. They receive 3,000 people daily, many Sudanese refugees, and have increased their capacity significantly since the crisis began. Impressed by their efforts in supporting refugees on a daily basis.
