In my #reflections this month, I look back on a fantastic summer where I went out and visited many activities that ActiveEssex support, from Essex ActivAte clubs to #FindYourActive festivals. Read the blog here: activeessex.org/news-events/bl…
I’m very proud that ActiveEssex have been shortlisted for 3️⃣ John Laker awards. Without the incredible team around me, I wouldn’t be a finalist for the Outstanding Leadership award.
A great day with the ActiveEssex team today, and a chance to meet new faces who have joined the team over the past month. I think it’s so important to get together as a team, share successes and learn from challenges, plus show a little competitiveness with a game of rounders!
It was great to share the ActiveEssex Equality, Diversity & Inclusion journey with Basildon Council today. Continuous development around EDI, including an inclusive culture & ensuring a diverse workforce is a top priority, & it’s great to support partners on their journey too!
It's my favourite time of year again, and it's great to be at a new venue for this years #EssexActivityAwards23 with hosts Danny Crates & Charlie Frost. ActiveEssex are delighted to host this special event to recognise and celebrate those who have achieved something incredible.
Great to see the impact of #UnitingTheMovement strategy 3 years on. As Sport England Board Member & Director of ActiveEssex, this strategy has propelled the work of our sector showing the strength of working together to transform lives through the power of physical activity.
Today, ActiveEssex have launched a powerful video demonstrating how system change within the #LDP has positively impacted communities across Essex, to ensure inactive people living in our priority neighbourhoods can enjoy an active lifestyle. Watch here: youtu.be/S867izATBfg
I am proud to share the ActiveEssex 2023-24 Impact Report. It demonstrates the incredible breadth and depth of work taking place to inspire so many residents to be active, and illustrates our contribution to the systems #FitForTheFuture strategy👇 activeesseximpact.org
I’ve been thinking about impact a lot recently, as ActiveEssex published their annual Impact Report. In my reflections this month, it got me thinking about what the best way is to articulate and demonstrate impact. Read my blog to see what I concluded: activeessex.org/news-events/bl…
System change is not just a complicated concept, it’s a reality in Essex. In my Reflections this month I talk about how system change can create impact at scale & how the Active Essex Foundation has managed to hardwire sport into the criminal justice system👇 activeessex.org/news-events/bl…
Strongly endorsing Sport England’s new #EveryMove sustainability strategy, showing our sectors response to climate change. As a Sport England Board Member, I look forward to working with ActiveEssex and our #Essex partners to ensure this is translated locally
Great to welcome Jenni Anderson into #Epping this morning as she takes on Ford Ford RideLondon 100 miles today! ActiveEssex and Active Essex Foundation will be cheering all the way along the route!
My reflections look a little different this month. I wanted to reflect on the journey our system has been on, in understanding the power of youth voice. Read my blog below & hear from Essex County Council Education Lead, Youth Sport Trust, Get Set Club and more👇 activeessex.org/news-events/bl…
If you’ve read my reflections before, or whether you’re new, I do tend to wrestle with the power of numbers, vs storytelling. This month I try to use both to articulate the impact of Essex ActivAte in their Evaluation report. Read my blog in full: activeessex.org/news-events/bl…
