Coach J. Adams's 8th-grade Science classes are preparing to dive into Chemistry by getting in some practice with the equipment they will be using this year for their labs. From beakers to Bunsen burners, they are ready to explore the world of science. Let the experiments begin!

Mrs. Butler's history students read an article discussing the Agricultural Revolution as the worst mistake in human history. They worked together to find evidence to support or refute the claim made by author Jared Diamond.

What better way to learn about artifacts, archaeology, primary and secondary sources, and historical evidence than with a Simulated Archaeological Dig! Mrs. Butler's 8th graders are hard at work learning the basic foundation skills to dig deeper into ancient world history.

Mr. Reetz’s sixth-grade math classes used some recently donated whiteboards to help students better understand how to use tape diagrams to find equivalent ratios. The students rotated through stations before writing their answers on the large whiteboard to present to the class.

Two clubs are having their first meetings today at 7:20! Fellowship of Christian Athletes (FCA) with Coach Cumberland and the Junior Optimist International Club (JOI) with Mrs. Prater. Students do not have to be an athlete at the school to attend FCA.

6th graders started their 3D printing projects in Mr. Prince’s class last week.

The Equality Club is a group at GSMS that promotes inclusion and provides support for students of every race, religion, sexuality, culture, and gender. Overall, this club aims to spread equality, make everyone feel welcome, and give all students a space to come together.

Mrs. Morales' 5th-period class took a field trip to the high school. They visited the Greenhouse and looked at their Dutch buckets and Hydroponic systems to get an idea of what we would need in our own Greenhouse! They also collected compost to grow their seedlings.
