Was pleased to find this Spotted Flycatcher whilst at Chaddesley Woods NNR this afternoon

Pleased to see the Whinchat at Stanklyn this afternoon (found by Terry Hinett). A juvenile Stonechat was also present nearby.

Not the greatest photos due to the distance, but was pleased to see a bit of passage migration on my local patch yesterday when a Whinchat (TMH) and a juvenile Stonechat dropped in. Stanklyn, 4th August 2024

Great to see 1 Whinchat still present at Stanklyn this afternoon. 3 Corn Bunting were also present in same field and a juvenile Peregrine flew onto Pylon to feed on a pigeon it had caught. (with Terry Hinett)

One for my birder/wildlife friends. What are people's thoughts about migrating to Blue Sky from X? Seems to be a bit of a mass exodus at the mo. I'm kind of torn on it as I've got a lot of history on here. How many of you are going to stay with this platform?

The group's next indoor meeting is on Tues 10th Sept 2024 when local falconer and bird of prey expert Steve Woodison will talking to us about Owls, Hawks & other Birds of Prey. Steve will also be bringing with him some of his birds for the group to meet.

No sign of any Whinchat yesterday at Stanklyn but 2 Stonechat (1 male & 1 juv) were present at the paddocks
