It would be funny, if it weren't so sad, how unserious this aspect of Kitsap Transit Bremerton Fast Ferry is: "... impossible to safely secure bikes with fenders, disc brakes, ... will not be allowed on the vessel ..." Have you even seen a single commuter bike in the PNW? 🥲😵‍💫

Which road would you rather bike on (ignoring the actual roads in question, just conceptually) for ~20 miles, some hills, assuming both are fairly busy? a. Highway with wide shoulder b. Two-lane road with no shoulder

SeattleTrafficCams videos are always partly funny but mostly horrifying. They're also incredibly validating for folks who ride bikes around the city and see this shit first hand all the time but when mentioned get a lot of "that never happened" comments. youtube.com/watch?v=owY0Fg…

Today, I joined 12 others and their beautiful bikes in rescuing 1500+ lbs of food from Ballard and Fremont PCC Markets stores and delivering it to Food Not Bombs distribution in SODO. The Cascade Bicycle Club #PedalingReliefProject is a great way to spend a Sunday and get some exercise. 🚲💪

While riding on the Portside Trail today, we encountered a #carbrain driving on the trail at speed, 1/4 mile in. The only way into this trail requires driving over a crosswalk/trail curb ramp. Repeat with me, car drivers: The way out, is back the way you came. Stop. Go back. 🚘🧠

It's weird to be running Linux kernel 6.8.0 having started back in the day on ~1.2 on Slackware almost 30 years ago 🥲

On the other hand, I suppose that a few billion human and most currently living species’ corpses will make pretty good feedstock for the planet to turn into crude oil deposits, for some future evolved species to make the same mistakes again in a few million years. 🤷‍♂️

One can take the historical preservation scam to the logical extreme and say that nothing, once built, no matter how recently, can ever be destroyed, because we're robbing a future generation of its _potential_ historical significance.

Job postings for on-site/hybrid jobs which do not specify an exact location/address at which the job would be done is a facet of car supremacy. If you use public transit or bike, it matters a lot.
