Here’s a glance at what our ED, Hillory Tenute, brought forward to the Standing Senate Committee on Indigenous Peoples today, as part of its study on Bill C-29, an Act to provide for the establishment of a national council for reconciliation. #APPA #SenateofCanada #BillC29

An incredible a-ha moment about innovation when Justin invited us to think about "regenerating vs. extracting". We are so grateful to Justin for sharing his brilliant insights on Indigenous innovation. Watch the full recording: bit.ly/3oQiI2H Justin Wiebe (he/him)

THE Sam Bird hosts this awesome podcast featuring Indigenous young people talking about what good (and bad) youth engagement looks like. Have you ever engaged Indigenous young people? If you have, you should listen. If you haven't, you should really listen.

Great to see some @BanffForum friends in Toronto tonight for a discussion on Toronto’s cultural identity and how the city is fostering or stagnating its cultural potential.

Great to see other foundations committing real funds and shifting power and decision making directly to Indigenous people & Nations. Hey philanthropy, more of this! And if you need a list of great Indigenous-led funds, foundations, & philanthropic efforts send me a note.

Wonderful morning spent with the Saskatchewan Indian Institute of Technologies team and partners to launch pawâcikêwikamik! It’s a beautiful space that centres Indigenous knowledge and expertise to further Indigenous-led innovation and entrepreneurship.

The use of the word "subordinate" is a problem and is factually untrue. This doesn't negate any overstepping and wrongdoing of Métis governments outside of our homeland - that needs to stop. BUT, Métis rights and title (within our homeland) are not subordinate to others.

Totally agree, supporting infrastructure is critical. In the Indigenous charitable context even more so. Organizations like The Circle on Philanthropy National Association of Friendship Centres NACCA & many others play an essential role in supporting their members & bridging the gap between the national & local.

Why does the social impact sector opt for the safety of silence? In this Op-Ed piece, Paula Sahyoun from The Palestine Impact Collective questions the social impact sector's reluctance to speak out about the ongoing genocide in Palestine. ⤵
