The Making Waves youth event as part of #SeaScot2024 has begun! Thanks to Sea-Changers & Ørsted UK for supporting this event. After a lovely opening by Vasi from SMEEF setting the scene and a 'seaful' moment with me we are now diving into our Marine Careers panel!

The first day of the annual SeaScotland conference is off to a great start, this year themed around "Sharing Our Blue Space". There have been sessions on recovering Scotland's seas by 2030 & a morning workshop focusing on encouraging youth voices in marine policy #SeaScot24

Mayhem at Heathrow Airport but a huge thank you to lovely British Airways staff especially Mariam who spent hours making sure we got on a flight and went above & beyond to make sure our bags were rechecked. She’d work 14 hours & was still wonderfully smiley & friendly thank you

White-beaked dolphins are easily identified by (you guessed it!) their white beaks - although some do lack this feature. They can also be distinguished by their large flippers and sickle-shaped dorsal fin. 🐬 #NatureChampioned by Ash Regan MSP + Whale and Dolphin Conservation (WDC) 📸 Ray Harrington

It was great to meet Ash Regan MSP, #NatureChampion for the White-beaked Dolphin, this morning to discuss how we can protect these majestic dolphins in Scottish waters. 🐬 #DYK that these social dolphins are known to travel and form mixed pods with other dolphin & whale species?

Scotland's deep seas are home to whales, sharks, and beautiful coral reefs. But vital measures to protect them are 10 years overdue. Join me in telling Net Zero secretary Gillian Martin to protect our deep seas now. Send an email at scotlink.eaction.online/deepseas #OceanRecoveryNow
