It's my birthday. Another trip round the sun complete. I started the last birth year recovering from major surgery and illness, still undergoing physio. Ended it with a recent all clear and another chance to chase my goals. Grateful for every day. Take nothing for granted. 🌞

David Hockney: Bigger & Closer (not smaller and further away) Lightroom What a great way to experience art. Brought to life with audiovisual and narrated by Hockney himself. Highly recommend. Such a calming, relaxed environment. #art #london #hockney

Oh yes I do. I ruminate regularly over a thing a director said in 2002. Crippling doubt seeps in if I'm stuck on a project due to a pass-remarkable HR person's sarcasm in 2005. And lest we forget, my shame over The Spaghetti Incident of 1999 each and every time I boil pasta.

Here’s a tip for you… I saw the original production in Dundee. This new staging looks set to be another hit at #EdFringe – stick it on your to-see list.

Performing at Ellisland today on the anniversary of the first Burns Supper was a privilege. And extra special to be shown the Spence and see remnants of Burns’ library. Hoping to get my hands on those books on a future visit! Cheers for having me Robert Burns Ellisland Museum & Farm 🙏🏼🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿🥃

What a cracking opening night at the The Wee Gaitherin Poetry Festival. Stonehaven is full of wonderful wordsmiths. And the weather is gorgeous. I’ve just been a braw walk along the shore to the harbour and back, it’s after 10pm and still warm. It could be St Tropez!

Another fine day in the north east, with a spattering of rain later on. I love how the sky and sea change colour and shape. And more fine entertainment at the The Wee Gaitherin festival. Here’s a shot of hugh mcmillan on fine form tonight.
