Group tour of the R&D facility at #Hologic. Students asked great questions and learned a lot about the process of manufacturing panels used for mammography!

Day 2 of the #MedTech trek and all roads led to our 1st stop at Root3 Labs, an #Engineering #Consulting #Startup! When students were asked what they thought about their manufacturing workshop space one said “It’s like our Design Studio, but sicker!” 😆 Thanks for having us!

For the 2nd and last stop of the #MedTech trek, we headed to Thermo Fisher! From the warm welcome, amazing presentations, and tours of the manufacturing and R&D facilities, our students were thoroughly impressed and learned so much! Thanks for having us, Thermo Fisher!!

Today I spoke with our amazing SURF and Amgen scholars. I was in their shoes 15 years ago, so I loved being able to connect with them by sharing my journey as well as discussing best practices in forming a professional identity and networking! Thanks for the invite, Dr. Diaz!
